On September 7, Dai Viet College in Da Nang successfully hosted the Welcome Program for Freshmen of Class K24. Notably, the program's theme was closely tied to various meaningful and special events experienced by the faculty and students of DVE over the past year and in the near future.

In 2024, Dai Viet College in Da Nang welcomed nearly 1,000 new students for enrollment

The 2024-2025 Freshman Welcome Program was honored by the presence of distinguished guests:

- Colonel Pham Tien Chinh - Standing Member of the Party Committee - Head of Political Affairs, Naval Region 3,

- Lieutenant Colonel Pham Ngoc Quang - Deputy Head of Political Affairs, Technical Support Center, Naval Region 3,

- Captain Pham Thanh Ha- Assistant for Public Affairs, Political Office, Naval Region 3 Command,

- Comrade Mai Nguyen Bao Tran - Member of the Organizing Committee, Hải Châu District Youth Union,

- Dr. Tran Van Anh - Principal of the college, along with the entire faculty, staff, and students of Da Viet College in Da Nang.

Representatives from Naval Region 3 were among the honored guests. On this occasion, Colonel Pham Tien Chinh presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers to celebrate this significant event for the college.

The freshman welcome is an annual event held to greet new students as they embark on their academic journey. It provides an opportunity for freshmen to gain a better understanding of the college, the departments they will study in, and to adapt and integrate into their new environment.

Additionally, the event aims to maintain a vibrant and wholesome cultural playground for students, fostering and enhancing their role in cultural, athletic, and aesthetic activities. It creates a cheerful and connected atmosphere among students from different classes and disciplines, promoting unity among generations of students at Dai Viet College in Da Nang.

The college's faculty and staff took a commemorative photo with the guests.

On this occasion, 52 scholarships were awarded to freshmen of Class K24 to encourage and support them in their academic journey. The scholarships included:

- 1 scholarship covering 50% of tuition fees for the entire program, granted to a student who excelled in their studies,

- 14 scholarships of 3 million VND each for students overcoming difficult circumstances,

- 3 scholarships of 2 million VND each for students who enrolled early in previous admission periods,

- 1 scholarship covering 80% of tuition fees for two semesters, awarded to a student who demonstrated academic excellence throughout high school and overcame challenges,

- 2 scholarships covering 60% of the first semester’s tuition for students who achieved outstanding academic performance for three consecutive years in high school,

- 31 scholarships covering 35% of the first semester’s tuition for students with excellent grades in 12th grade.

Dr. Tran Van Anh, the Principal of the college, presented 52 scholarships to the new students.

A highlight of the Gala Night was the awarding of a laptop to its lucky recipient. This meaningful gift will accompany the student on their upcoming academic journey. It is hoped that the luckiest freshman of Class K24 will use this as motivation to further nurture their passion for learning and excel in their studies.

Amid the lively and joyful atmosphere, everyone experienced a unique mix of emotions. The Freshman Welcome Festival for Class K24, themed “Touch,” beautifully blended feelings of pride for the country’s significant milestones, empathy, and the practical actions taken by the faculty and students of Dai Viet College in response to the hardships faced by people in northern Vietnam. Most notably, it captured the anticipation and excitement of K24 students as they embraced one of the most pivotal milestones in their academic and personal journeys.

The heartfelt speech by the Principal resonated deeply with the theme of this year’s Freshman Welcome Program.

The 2024 Freshman Welcome Program was dedicated to commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024). The event aimed to educate new students about the nation’s rich historical traditions while fostering unity between soldiers and civilians.

The art team from Naval Region 3 participated in the program.

Class K24 carries with it the ambition to advance and adapt in the digital era, aiming to become global citizens and represent the dynamic and passionate youth of Dai Viet College in Da Nang. It is hoped that, on this new journey, each K24 student will shine in their field of study and become experts in their future careers.
