In the realm of education and training, particularly in the workforce development sector at Da Viet College, Da Nang, training occupies a central position in the organizational structure of vocational education institutions. The Training Department is at the forefront of expanding the training scale within the school. It collaborates with specialized units and external organizations to foster growth in education and training efforts. Recognizing the role, position, and value of training in workforce development, establishing the Training Department is crucial.
Over the years, the Training Department at Da Viet College, Da Nang, has been a pioneer in innovation and development of training programs, embracing modern educational trends and integrating them into the school. With the educational motto of "expansion, innovation, and development," the Training Department is confident in fully promoting the spirit, responsibility, and enthusiasm of the entire team to affirm its position and that of Da Viet College, Da Nang, in fulfilling educational and training missions.
2. Functions and Duties
2.1. Functions
Advisory Role: Provide advice to the principal on managing, organizing, implementing, and developing training activities, including training plans, programs, learning materials, teaching organization, and teaching quality, following the training regulations issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
Implementation: Advise the principal and take responsibility for organizing and implementing training management activities within the school.
2.2. Duties
- Program Development: Collaborate with faculties, departments, and functional rooms to research, innovate, and improve the objectives, content, and curriculum for various sectors.
- Program Management: Manage the training programs for courses across different disciplines.
- Strategic Planning: Play a key role in planning and forecasting the school's development strategies.
- Solutions Proposal: Propose solutions to meet necessary conditions for innovative training aligned with high-quality workforce requirements.
- Policy Review: Responsible for reviewing academic regulations, assessing course components, and advising on adjustments based on feedback.
- Teaching and Learning Organization: Implement teaching and learning plans.
- Graduation Procedures: Organize graduation assessments, diploma issuance, and management of student records.
- Quality Assessment: Collaborate with relevant units to evaluate faculty teaching quality.
- Teaching Management: Manage faculty teaching quotas and teaching-related policies.
- Student Academic Management: Oversee student academic performance, including continuation, suspension, or termination of studies, and preserving academic results.
- Data Management: Maintain and be responsible for summarizing student grade data.
- Standardization: Unify student lists for exams, grading sheets, and enforce deadlines for grading completion.
- Annual Planning: Lead in building the academic year's plan and coordinate departments to develop training schedules.
- Regulatory Management: Establish and manage processes and regulations for training management.
- Certification Management: Print diplomas, certificates, and provisional graduation certificates.
- Curriculum Supervision: Manage and monitor the teaching plans of specialized faculties.
- Guest Lecturers Management: Store and manage records of guest lecturers in various departments.
- Reporting: Prepare reports as required by relevant authorities.
- Training Materials Archive: Store training materials according to the school's management hierarchy.
2.3. General Studies Oversight
General education knowledge is as important as foundational and specialized knowledge. This knowledge is beneficial for students to develop an understanding of life, culture, society, politics, law, and economics.
The General Studies Department manages subjects such as Politics, Basic Law, Basic Informatics, Physical Education, and National Defense Education. Developing physical fitness and aesthetic appreciation is harmonious with the overall personal development of students.
2.4. Soft Skills and Output Standards
Organizing soft skills training is beneficial for students to enhance personal skills. While foundational and specialized courses provide professional knowledge, soft skills are expressed through actions, communication, interaction, and networking. As society progresses, continuous learning and skill development are crucial, and soft skills play a significant role in this growth.
Soft skills courses include: Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, Decision Making and Problem-Solving Skills, Teamwork Skills. These skills become a unified entity within students, manifesting in appropriate environments and enhancing personal value.
With successful achievements, the Training Department at Da Viet College, Da Nang, is confident in its role as an active unit, achieving numerous successes in education and training, while elevating the influence of Da Viet College, Da Nang, in the region.
