With the aim of helping students develop comprehensively in both professional knowledge and teamwork skills, the Basic Sciences Department recently organized a practical experiential program combined with a volunteer activity at Hoa Mai Orphanage under the theme “The World We Dream Of.”
The program received enthusiastic participation from lecturers and students of the Basic Sciences Department, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility, dedication, and compassion. During the visit, students actively engaged in meaningful activities such as social interaction, organizing games, performing cultural shows, and presenting practical gifts to children currently being cared for at the center. Moments of sharing, the children’s innocent smiles, and their bright eyes created a warm, connected, and loving atmosphere.

Through this activity, students were not only able to apply the knowledge gained from the course on teamwork and team spirit into real-life situations but also had the opportunity to develop communication skills, organizational skills, and, most importantly, a strong sense of social responsibility. These are the core values of skills-based education—where lessons are not confined to textbooks but are formed through real experiences and genuine emotions.

The experiential activity at Hoa Mai Orphanage clearly demonstrates the educational orientation of the Basic Sciences Department: to train students who are not only academically competent and skillful but also compassionate, willing to share, and responsible members of society. At the same time, the program helps strengthen the connection between the school and the community, spreading positive and humane values within the educational environment.
In the future, the Basic Sciences Department will continue to organize more meaningful experiential and volunteer activities, creating opportunities for students to learn, practice, and grow through practical actions.
