There are moments in life that, when we look back on them years later, we will smile and say: “It all began on that day…”
And today, for the Class of 2026 freshmen, a new journey officially begins - a journey filled with youth, dreams, experiences, and the first important steps toward a brighter future.
After years of studying in high school, you are now entering a completely new environment. There will be new classes, new subjects, new teachers, new friends, and countless exciting experiences waiting for you to discover.
The first days of college may feel a little unfamiliar. You may not know everyone yet, may still be learning your way around campus, or may sometimes wonder whether you have made the right choice.
And that’s perfectly okay!
No one begins a new journey knowing everything. What truly matters is that you are brave enough to begin, willing to experience new things, and ready to keep learning.
Be proactive in your learning.
Don’t simply wait for knowledge to come to you. Ask questions, explore new ideas, communicate with your lecturers and learn from your friends. Every lesson you learn today will become a valuable foundation for your future career.
Open your heart and connect with others.
The friends you meet during your first days may become lifelong companions. The relationships you build during your college years can become some of the most meaningful memories of your youth.
Be willing to try new things.
Join a club, take part in extracurricular activities, competitions, volunteer programs, or other campus events. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. College is not only a place to gain knowledge, but also a place to discover who you are and what you are capable of.
Set goals for your journey ahead.
Who do you want to become after graduation? What skills do you want to develop? What do you hope to achieve during your college years?
You may not have all the answers today - and that’s okay. What matters is that you start thinking about your goals and take small steps toward making them a reality.
Dear Freshmen,
The journey ahead will certainly include joyful moments, but there may also be challenges, pressure, and times when you feel like giving up. Remember: every challenge is an opportunity to grow.
Don’t worry if you are not the best today. Don’t be discouraged when you make mistakes. Don’t be afraid to step beyond your comfort zone.
Keep moving forward. It’s okay to move slowly, as long as you never stop.
We believe that with determination, initiative, and the enthusiasm of youth, every freshman can create a beautiful and meaningful story of their own.
From today, you are not simply beginning a new academic year. You are beginning a new journey of growth and self-discovery.
